Arise Health Plan, a WPS Health Solutions subsidiary, Sept. 29 said it will withdraw participation in the 2017 Wisconsin public health insurance exchange, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The article said the insurer will offer high-deductible health plans off-exchange for individuals and families in a limited number of counties.
Arise, which offered plans in 11 rating areas in Wisconsin in 2016, enrolled 14,122 members in public exchange plans as of first quarter 2016, according to AIS’s Directory of Health Plans. Its departure from Wisconsin follows in the wake of UnitedHealthcare’s exit, announced this summer. Compared to other states, however, Wisconsin’s public exchange insurer participation is robust, with more than a dozen insurer offering products in various parts of the state.
