August Update: New Medicaid Special Report, Trends Reports Posted

DHP last month posted several new reports to your subscriber dashboard, including a new special report, Monthly Medicaid Enrollment Changes by State. This report summarizes the statewide monthly changes in Medicaid HMO and Medicaid fee-for-service segments and aims to provide a state-level view into Medicaid eligibility redeterminations.

The report will be updated shortly after the monthly Public-Sector Plan Enrollment report that comes out mid-month. Note: Some states do update their enrollment on a monthly basis, while others report quarterly, on request, or even less frequently. In addition, states vary as to how current membership data is – for some states, disenrollments won’t show up until later this year or beyond.

In addition, DHP posted the latest trends reports from the first-quarter release. Enrollment Trends Year-Over-Year Comparison, 2022-2023, compares DHP’s full health insurer data set representing first quarter 2023 against the data set representing first-quarter 2022 update, while Enrollment Trends, 4Q2022 vs. 1Q2023 compares first-quarter 2023 data to the previous quarter.

And summer is providing no break in activity for the healthcare industry; recent newsfeed topics include the following:
