DUAL editors have just updated the online database with new plans and enrollment figures. DUAL spots significant enrollment gains in the Michigan (9,369 duals) and Texas (27,616 duals) demos following continued rollout of passive enrollment initiatives. Duals plans have a net increase of 48,923 new members since April, and 318,354 new members since January. But that doesn't mean all plans are gaining. Check out the DUAL Monthly Enrollment Tracker in In-App Downloads to determine the winners and losers. This spreadsheet, plus the latest lists of Plans and Programs have all been updated.
Also in the update: Washington’s fee-for-service demo now includes the six health homes selected by the state to coordinate care for 15,639 duals. Learn more about the FFS health home model in the DUAL Programs in-app download.
Plus, changes to the online search fields: Users will no longer see an empty opt-out rate field at the plan level. Our researchers have found that health plans are not able to keep an accurate tally of their opt-outs, because many duals will choose not to participate in a state-run demo before they are ever assigned to a plan. A program-wide opt-out rate is thus a more accurate reflection of current opt-out trends. View all available rates in the DUAL Programs in-app download.
